The Bible talks of the Dishonest Manger whom Jesus commended, he said “For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light”( Luke 16:8) this was not a commendation for the wrong act but rather the attitude he approached his situation with.

The master commended him because he had acted shrewdly. For a long, while the Church associated business with evil and anyone who pursued money and wealth was seen as having lost their way.
